What makes the Rescue Mission unique outside of offering emergency services is that we have the ability to facilitate programs to initiate life transformations.
Supportive Services For Veteran Families (SSVF) works with low-income homeless veterans and the at-risk-of-homelessness veteran population to secure housing. SSVF had 203 participants in 2023.
The Stability Grant thru FRM works with low-income homeless individuals to create a life stability plan with specific goals to achieve housing and self-sustainability. The Stability Grant thru FRM had 35 participants in 2023.
Enterprise Unit a train as you work program that helps residents who join, gain useful skills, and build on those skills by creating items for sale by the Rescue Mission. (example: dog houses) They also do clean up contract work, light painting and construction. This helps build a resume and earn a small stipend. There were 5 participants in 2023.
Grant Per Diem Program (GPD) works with veterans to regain housing and meaningful employment as a means to end homelessness. GPD had 24 participants in 2023.
